Day 7- A Royal Ending !

Last day of the diet comes with surprisingly sumptuous meal offer.
Started the day with 4 Glass of warm water.
Brown Rice served with Onion, Tomato gravy for Lunch.
Boiled Vegetables, with brown rice on a tomato, onion gravy.
Couple of glass of Fruit juice.
Physical change of feeling lighter was visible on days 6 & 7.

Day 6 – Past the Tipping Point...

After a roller costal emotional ride on the previous day, Day 6 was more relaxing. Have to say, if one is survive till day 5, then the next 2 days are mostly rewarding.

Started the day with 4 Glass of warm water.
Breakfast – Sausage & Bacon on Onion, mushroom and tomato.
Pumpkin Soup for lunch.
Subway meatball salad bowl with boiled vegetables for dinner.

Day 5 – A Rebellion Within!

Having scrapped through toughest day of the plan, this day should have come as a relief. After all I got to eat meat, but surprisingly things didn’t get any easier. If Day 4 was more of stretching my physical capabilities, then on day 5 the battle was on the psychological front.

Started the day as usual with 4 glasses of warm water,
A beef patty with tomatoes, lettuce and cucumber for breakfast, with an espresso shot.
A beef patty with lot of tomatoes for lunch.
A glass of highly concentrated tomato juice (wish it was sulphuric acid...) in the evening.
A freshly made hamburger for dinner, which by the way was the day saver.

Battle Field Coverage !
My body teamed up with the evil part of my mind (should read rationale part...) and started questioning the whole logic behind this exercise. Then came, for the first time on the plan the inevitable question – “Does it worth it?” Though some research was done on the usefulness of the plan, I have to admit that the decision to (blindly) stick to the plan was an emotional one. So it was the deadly combo of an enraged body and an evil mind against a poor little emotion, which by the way was seriously beleaguered.

As the day grew, so did the rebellion inside and since ‘straying’ was not an option, the distance between the two factions widened alarmingly. Then came the ‘Hamburger’ moment for the dinner which brought some sort of parity between the revolting groups.

Though we are not one happy family at the moment, an interim truce has been reached.
Live today, fight tomorrow!

P.S. Do I even care about how vulnerable, I am ?

Day 4 – On the Verge!

The Milk and Banana Day – Probably the most anticipated day of the program.
Regardless of its weight loss effect, I must admit this diet program has a reverse ageing effect too. Staring the day 1 with fruits, till today with only milk and banana I feel my menu has grown closer to an infant’s.
Just with the quantity of laxative intake today (8 bananas), they must have prescribed for Diaper as well.
Anyways there’s nothing to detail in terms of menu today, it was milk, banana & water in equal intervals of 2 hours, and still going on...
There was a noticeable change in health today, on the positive side, felt a bit lighter. On the other hand was quite restless in the morning, extremely hungry (rather starving) the entire day.

Vulnerability Index – 9 (For ‘F.R.I.E.N.D.S.’ Fanatic, this translates to – “Ross: I am this CLOSE”)

I so desperately wanted to add something to the milk that would make it tastier, but just couldn’t do it. I can’t be any glad; finally the beef day is here.

P.S. First 3 days it was cow’s food, and Day 5 its cow as food. (Hunger brings out the evil in a person)

Day 3 – A Resolute Herbivore!

Started the day with 4 glasses of warm water.
Breakfast - Garden Salad (Tomatoes, Carrot, Onion, Cucumber, Celery, Croutons) + Single Shot Espresso
Mid day Brunch - Green tea + 1 Apple
Lunch – Subway Salad bowl (almost a garden salad)+ 2 Veggie Patties
Evening – Green Tea + 1 Apple
Dinner - A bowl of boiled Peas, Corn, Carrot, Bean with some spices. (100 gm)
Over 6 Cups of Water thru the day.
Vulnerability Index – 5 (having spent the whole day in office, have to resist quite a bit of aromatic temptations).
My cubicle mates are very excited to see how tomorrow unfold, a day with only ‘Banana & Milk’. Bring it On !!!
P.S. I can declare myself a complete ‘GREEN’ now , it has been whole 3 days since any sort of direct carbs entered my system.

Day 2 - Going Greeeeeen !

Hasn’t ever the thought of a SALAD felt exciting? Actually it did.
Started the day with 4 glasses of warm water.
1 Subway Salad Bowl with a Veggie Patty for Brunch.
5 Carrots in the evening.
A homemade mixed vegetable curry - 100 gm of beans, 50 gm of peas, 50 gm of pumpkin, 1 onion , 1 potato, a slice of ginger and spoon of olive oil.
Probably had more than 5 glasses of water thru the day.
Vulnerability Index – 4
Have to say the Vegetable curry was filling!

Day 1 - A fruitful Day, LITERALLY!

Its simple – “Eat all the fruits you can eat, as much as you want”.
Today, I realized in a hard way that there could only be a handful of fruits that a man could possibly eat. Here is how it went,
Started the day with 4 glasses of warm water.
Thru the day - 4 Apples, 3 Pears, 2 Oranges, 1 Kg of watermelon and a bite of Red Tamarillo.
2 Cups of Green Tea, and 4 cups of water thru the day.
I have to say, if it isn’t for the enthusiasm for starting something new, it could have been really hard to survive this day.
Vulnerability Index – 7 (mind got particularly fixated with the food items in the movies, sitcoms I watched today).
P.S. Water Melon in New Zealand SUCKS. It was physically nauseating.
